I just completed a commissioned wedding picture drawing. Done in pencil, 8×10″

I gave this to my dad in advance as a Christmas gift.  It’s a wine label pre-made for his next batch of homemade wine.  The image element was made in Blender using the new Cycles renderer.

Just began drawing more Socrates illustrations for a new Debate textbook! It was a slow, rough start…haven’t been keeping up with my sketching, especially using the tablet.

We’ll see if this works or if I’ll need to go back to the angular, cross-hatchy style I had before. I don’t know if I’ll be able to do shading like this for every image.
